Eric Johnson 88 pages softcover

When first envisioned, the railway of the White Pass was intended to extend over 400 miles into the heart of the Yukon Territory. However, when completed in 1900 it was only 110 miles, and plans for expansion were quietly cancelled - with one exception. The longest trackage added after 1900 was the Copper Mines Branch, giving the White Pass access to the riches of the Whitehorse Copper Belt, only a few miles from downtown Whitehorse. Planned in 1900, completed by 1910, and finally removed many years later, it added an interesting chapter to the history of this many-storied railway. Charlie1
