continues down the main line to Baltimore with stops at many scenic
locations including West Portal, Lane Tower, Hunter Tower, Newark,
Elizabeth, Metuchen, Princeton Junction and Zoo Interlocking. Passenger
and freight trains are shown crossing impressive bridges at New
Brunswick, Morrisville, Perryville and Gunpow.
You'll
also see electrics on the Columbia & Port Deposit line and sample
the action at Enola Yard, Harrisburg, Lancaster and South Amboy. A
thrilling GG-1 cab ride from South Amboy to Penn Station concludes the
program.
In
addition to the famous GG-1s, there are B1, O1a, P5a, E33, E44, E60 and
EP5 locomotives in a variety of paint schemes. Metroliners, MP54s and
even some diesels are shown, along with experimental EMD electric GM
1975, GG-1 4800 in Bicentennial paint and restored Gs 4877 and 4935. The
high-quality archive film included on this fine program was taken
between 1950 and 1983.
