"Santa Fe all the way!" A phrase that was once again brought back to life in May 2012 when the AT&SF 3751 steamed the Grand Canyon Limited from Los Angeles Union Station to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. To celebrate Arizonaï¾’s centennial anniversary, this special passenger train pulled guests through two deserts, the Arizona divide, and onto the Grand Canyon. Harkening back to the days when this was an advertised service by the Santa Fe, we find ourselves once again passing Harvey Houses and historic station stops. The charter traversed the BNSF and Arizona & California railroads ducking mainline freights along the way. This train experienced the magnificence of Americaï¾’s southwest along its entire journey!RailTrek Media presents the Grand Canyon Limitedï¾’s eastward trip from the LA area to the Grand Canyon Village over the course of three days! You will see the 3751, with its passengers in tow, thunder out of the LA suburbs, charge up Cajon Pass, race across the Mojave Desert, trundle along in the Sonora Desert, and steam across the plains to the Grand Canyon. We also present footage of National Train Day 2012 at LAUS, the 3751 and GCR 4960 working in tandem as we ride the train between Williams and the Grand Canyon, and much more! Join us as we follow the 3751 on its journey from Coast to Canyon!
