Big Boy - Back in Steam DVD covers the
1941-1959 history, 2014-2019 restoration, and May 2019 inaugural runs
of Union Pacific Big Boy 4-8-8-4 No. 4014 on its original operating
territory between Cheyenne, Wyo., and Ogden, Utah, across famous Sherman
Hill and Wasatch Grade. One of the world’s largest and most powerful
steam locomotives (1.2 million pounds, 7,000 horsepower), No. 4014 will
be the first Big Boy to run in 60 years! Trains has covered all aspects of this steam locomotive legend, and we’ll have four teams on the ground to cover its inaugural runs.
