4-6-4 Hudson type locomotives as well as the L-1 class that the C&O
itself rebuilt as streamlined engines from F-19 class 4-6-2 Pacifics.
Complete mechanical descriptions as well as operational history for each
of these classes that were used primarily between Hinton, W. Va. and
western terminals at Huntington, Cincinnati, and Detroit. The L-1
streamlined engines were last used Charlottesville - Washington and
Charlottesville-Newport News. Over 100 illustrations and drawings.
