This is a reproduction of a publication that was produced for the Delaware & Hudson's board of directors.  This looks at the Passenger, Freight & Work equipment operated by the railroad. This starts with the the early Gravity railway and horse drawn cars, the introduction of the eight wheeled coal cars and the cars of the early railroads that became part of the Delaware & Hudson.  Covering the history of the railroad's rolling stock in decade sized segments, the book details the changes and improvements made to the rolling stock operated by the Delaware & Hudson.  There is significant coverage of the different coal cars operated by the line as well as the passenger cars used by the D&H.  In addition to looking the cars used, the book also presents some of the improvements that were made, including improvements to safety and passenger comfort.  Includes photos and illustrations of a variety of cars operated by the D&H.  Also included are rosters showing the numbers of cars that were operated.
