The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, the nation's first, is a hallowed name in railroad history and, for over a century one of the three largest Eastern rail systems. This book is a collection of some of the experiences of the company's former managers from a wide variety of functions and responsibilities- essentially an oral history of the railroad during the second half of the 20th century. Some are funny, some are sad, but all are informative, telling about the people, places and things that made up the railroad managers' world in this period. The value of these stories is already increasing as many of the authors are now deceased.
