This is a history of the Western New York & Pennsylvania Traction Company as well as it predecessors and successor. Beginning with the predecessors of the Western NY & PA, the book details the histories of the Olean Street Railway Company, the Bradford & Kendall Railroad, the Bradford Electric Street Railway and the Olean, Rock City & Bradford Railroad. The book explores the formation of the Western New York & Pennsylvania Traction Company and it's operations and eventual demise. Following the demise of the line, the Olean, Bradford and Salamanca Railway company was formed from the remnants of the Western NY & Pennsylvania and operated for several years before being replaced with buses. The book also details freight service on the line, the cars that were used , the Ceres Power Plant and traction parks.
