This book completes the Pittsburgh Railroad Book trilogy that spanned the life of this railroad and its predecessor Little Saw Mill Run line, the receivership years under the ill-fated Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal Railway, and the rebirth as part of the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway. As testament to the longevity of the West Side Belt, one can still visit portions of the right of way and occasionally see a train pass by.
