The purpose of this book is to provide detailed information about the equipment, structures, facilities and operations of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway during the two decades from 1950-1972. It is aimed in larger measure at the modeling community through the reproduction of good quality photos, accompanied by official railway mechanical and engineering drawings that illustrate operations during this period. It uses mainly black & white photography, often from C&O company official sources, along with a seciton of color at the end, as representative of the designs used.
